Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a creative and dynamic teacher to add to our private school in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. The candidate must possess an active (K through 6) or (5-8) Pennsylvania Teaching Certification. Candidates with active teaching certificates may also take a praxis test to obtain the needed grade levels for the position and add to their certification. Responsibilities Design and implement lessons and assessments to align with the current curriculum. Manage the classroom to create a safe and learning driven atmosphere for all students. Follow and adhere to basic regulations and safety procedures. Maintain accurate records in accordance with school policy of student performance, attendance, and behavioral observations.. Collaborate respectively with colleagues, parents, and specialists. Demonstrated expertise in content being taught. and ability to adapt and modify lessons as necessary. Experience working with children of various ages. Familiar with using an electronic grading system. Proven ability to manage classroom behavior effectively using behavior management strategies and to adjust accordingly. Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff effectively while providing academic advising and guidance. Extra duties assigned to enhance student experiences Attend school meetings and functions.
