Campus Instructors provide engaging, age-appropriate instruction during our Tuesday and Thursday campus days while preparing students and families for guided homeschool learning throughout the rest of the week. This position requires strong classroom leadership, clear communication, careful preparation, and a genuine desire to partner with parents in their children's academic and spiritual development. Our instructors help create a structured, encouraging, and relationship-driven learning environment where students can grow academically, socially, spiritually, and emotionally. Responsibilities Provide engaging and age-appropriate instruction during Tuesday and Thursday campus days. Prepare lesson plans, assignments, projects, and instructional guidance for both campus and homeschool learning days. Maintain a structured, safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment. Communicate clearly with parents regarding assignments, expectations, classroom activities, and student progress. Support and encourage parents as educational partners within the hybrid homeschool model. Build positive and supportive relationships with students and their families. Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, preparation, and necessary instructional materials. Support classroom volunteers and parent helpers when applicable. Assist with field trips, classroom celebrations, chapel, and other program events. Participate in staff meetings, training, and collaborative planning opportunities. Follow all Legacy Christian Academy policies, procedures, and campus safety expectations. Work collaboratively with LCA leadership and the instructional team. Encourage students academically, socially, spiritually, and relationally within a Christ-centered environment.

Desires to support students and families throughout their homeschool journey. Professional Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Previous teaching, tutoring, homeschool, childcare, ministry, or educational experience preferred. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Ability to prepare lessons, manage assignments, and meet deadlines. Comfortable working collaboratively with parents and school leadership. Familiarity with homeschool, hybrid education, or Christian education is preferred. Ability to pass all required background checks and comply with school safety requirements. Program Structure Legacy Christian Academy is a hybrid homeschool partnership program serving students in TK through fifth grade. Students attend campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays and complete guided homeschool learning with their families during the remainder of the week. Campus Days Tuesdays and Thursdays Approximately 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Some lesson preparation, planning, grading, and parent communication may occur outside regular campus hours. Pay:
From $28.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you consistently available to work on campus in Downey every Tuesday and Thursday from approximately 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM during the school year? Are you able to reliably report to our Downey campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays by the required start time? Briefly describe your experience managing a classroom or group of elementary-aged children.
