QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Desire to put forth best effort in all assigned duties. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the public. Applicants must be 18 years old.
REPORTS TO
Building Administrator
GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for helping students develop and strengthen academic, physical and social skills by providing assistance and tutoring to students in the after-school program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in planning and implementation of academic, enrichment, health, and recreational extra-curricular learning experiences for students. Assists tutoring of students in academic subjects such as reading, writing, math, and other areas. Provides one-on-one and small group instruction, utilizing a variety of teaching techniques Works effectively with students in after school activities and assist with behavior management, discipline, interpersonal actions, and act as a role model. Promotes good habits for the purpose of improving the quality of students outcome and encouraging student development Follows all district and school policies, rules, and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Conducts duties in an office/school/work environment with no significant exposure to environmental conditions. Physical demands are restricted to office work requiring lifting/moving of items up to 25 pounds. Job requires the operation of standard office equipment.
