JOB DESCRIPTION

MS Social Studies Job Description:

The YMS teacher will be a full-time teaching position. The teacher will be required to attend all staff meetings, department meetings, and assigned committee meetings. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction aligned with curriculum standards while creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Criteria:

1. Valid South Dakota teaching certificate 5-8 Middle Level Education Middle school teaching endorsement Secondary History 2. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that meet diverse student needs. 3. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, department meetings, and assigned committee meetings to collaborate on school initiatives. 4. Understanding in South Dakota State Standards aligning lessons accordingly. 5. Engage in curriculum planning and coordination to ensure alignment with educational goals. 6. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education. 7. Knowledge of utilizing technology in instruction. 8. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to enhance student learning and well-being.
