We are dedicated to providing quality education, an interactive learning environment, and wonderful experiences for children! We are looking for a highly motivated Floating Teacher to work with children three to seven years of age and be part of a great team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, excited, and dynamic team environment. Recent early childhood program graduates and students are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Create a fun and interactive classroom environment Develop strategies to positively guide children's behavior Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic, and safe Follow prewritten monthly lesson plans Communicate with parents to achieve success of the child, school, and family
Required Skills:
A love for young children and a desire to learn and teach Ability to build relationships with families, children, and co-workers to create a successful environment Must be able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors Must be able to assume low postures to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children Must be able to speak, read, and write in English All teachers are cross-trained to support classrooms in all age ranges
Qualifications:
Must possess an active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (or be willing to obtain one) and meet NAEYC candidacy requirements Must possess active CPR and First Aid Certifications or be willing to obtain 1+ year of early childhood education experience (preferred)
