Position Overview:
Holy Family Catholic Academy is seeking a dynamic and faith-filled Fifth Grade Teacher to join our school community. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) Candidate School, we are committed to developing inquiring, knowledgeable, and compassionate students who are prepared to positively impact the world. The Fifth Grade Teacher will serve as a homeroom teacher, responsible for fostering a nurturing, academically rigorous, and faith-centered classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction across core subject areas (e.g., English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies)
Foster a classroom culture rooted in Catholic values, respect, and a love of learning
Support the development of the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually
Incorporate inquiry-based and student-centered instructional practices aligned with IB philosophy
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration
Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school-wide initiatives and continuous improvement
Participate actively in school life, including liturgies, events, and professional development
Passion for fostering global citizenship, academic excellence, and faith formation
Ability to build meaningful relationships with students and families

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain certification)

Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Experience with or openness to International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy and practices preferred
