Under the supervision and guidance of the Child Care Director, this position is responsible for providing direct care of the children enrolled in the after-school/summer camp programs and assisting the director in meeting and exceeding the TDFPS minimum standards and complying with all YMCA policies and procedures. The counselor is responsible for implementing the activities and curriculum set by the Director and engage the children in age appropriate activities. Weekends off! Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED
- Must complete background check and drug screening
- Prefer prior experience working with youth.
- Certified in CPR and First Aid (or be certified within 30 days of hire).
- Complete YMCA child abuse prevention within 30 days of hire along with other required trainings.
