CPR Full Job Description About Us:

Mi Casa Child Center is dedicated to providing equal opportunities for children to explore and learn in a safe, collaborative, play-based, and child-led environment. We partner with families to build lifelong skills, confidence, and independence in children. This position is part-time, afternoons M-F. Join our team as a School Age Teacher where you'll create memorable experiences for children in a fun, safe, and engaging environment. You'll implement our curriculum while fostering children's creativity and supporting their individual growth during the summer months. Part time opportunity may be available sooner.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement age-appropriate curriculum activities that are both educational and entertaining Maintain constant supervision and ensure safety of children at all times Create and maintain a fun, positive learning environment Lead and supervise field trips, outdoor activities, and swimming pool sessions Establish and enforce clear rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order Follow all state standards and regulations for childcare settings Document daily activities, incidents, and children's progress Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's experiences Collaborate with other staff members to plan and coordinate activities Maintain organization of classroom materials and equipment Respond appropriately to emergency situations Prepare and serve snacks according to dietary restrictions Perform regular head counts and ensure children are accounted for at all times

Qualifications:

Must have High-school diploma Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage groups of children effectively First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Lifeguard certification preferred (additional compensation provided) Background check clearance required High energy and enthusiasm for working with children Reliable transportation to attend field trips Physical ability to participate in activities and supervise children in various settings
