Job Description

High School English Teacher (Part-time) Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic School announces an opening for a high school/middle school English teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic School is located in Tyler, TX. We aspire to form scholars to become saints and missionaries through a Catholic, integrated liberal arts curriculum.
Candidates will:
Understand how English is a key component in teaching the Liberal Arts in the Catholic Intellectual Tradition Demonstrate strong communication skills Knowledge of varied instructional strategies to differentiate learning Dedicated to teaching respective courses with academic rigor and innovation Possess or be willing to obtain a Texas teaching certificate Bachelor's degree required; certification or ability to obtain certification required Preference will be given to licensed candidates with a Master's Degree and three or more years of teaching experience. Must undergo a background check and complete the Ethics and Integrity Program of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas Salary will be commensurate with experience.
