Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Part-time Afterschool Teacher and make a meaningful impact on children's lives through engaging, safe, and enriching activities. In this role, you will create a positive learning environment by supervising and guiding children during afterschool hours, fostering their social, emotional, and developmental growth. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help children thrive academically, socially, and creatively while ensuring their safety and well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with young learners in a dynamic setting that values teamwork, creativity, and child-centered education. Duties Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and facilitate engaging educational activities, arts and crafts, games, and youth group programs that promote development and fun Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies Implement first aid protocols when necessary, including CPR and AED operation, to respond promptly to emergencies Support children with special needs by adapting activities to accommodate individual requirements in collaboration with specialists when needed Foster a nurturing environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and personal growth among children Collaborate with parents, guardians, and team members to communicate progress and address any concerns or needs Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive environment Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including camp experience or babysitting roles Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols Experience facilitating youth programs or youth group activities with a focus on engagement and safety Ability to work outdoors when required for outdoor activities or field trips Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, parents, and team members Join us in creating a fun, safe, and inspiring space where children can learn and grow!
