The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in curriculum development, instructional design, and classroom management, ensuring an inclusive and motivating learning environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive Spanish Language Arts curricula aligned with educational standards and tailored to diverse student needs. Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate creative writing, literacy education, and cultural exploration to enhance language acquisition. Utilize instructional design principles and learning technology tools to create interactive lessons that promote active participation. Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide timely feedback to support growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment. Mentor students individually or in small groups, providing tutoring and academic advising to support their language proficiency and literacy skills. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, research initiatives, and integration of library services to enrich the learning experience. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, Spanish Language or related field; Master's degree preferred. Proven classroom experience teaching middle school students, with a focus on language arts or literacy education. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, AP style writing, Chicago Manual of Style, proofreading, and copy editing techniques. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, instructional design, and the use of educational technology platforms. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds; mentoring experience is a plus. Demonstrated organizational skills for lesson planning, classroom management, and record keeping. Experience working in middle school settings or with special education populations is advantageous.
