About us The Sandy Club "A Safe Place for Boys & Girls" is a small business in Sandy, UT. We are rewarding, inclusive and fun. Schedule for
School Year & Summer:
During the school year, staff work the following afterschool programs hours:
Monday-Thursday:
2:45-6:15pm
Friday:
12:45-5:15pm No regular weekend shifts, but occasional family events may take place outside of these hours For our summer program, hours shift to:
Monday-Thursday:
11:30am-5:15pm Closed Fridays No regular weekend shifts, but occasional family events may take place outside of these hours These summer hours will be in effect from Monday, June 8, 2026 through Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Duties:
  • Create personalized lesson plans based on age appropriate groups. As a staff member you will plan and participate in a variety of activities. You will be monitoring activities during free time and carry out group activities such as sports, crafts, and games.
  • Manage the classroom environment by organizing, cleaning, and monitoring youth behavior
  • Provide homework assistance to youth in academic areas (e.g. reading, language, math, etc.) and promote healthy study habits.
  • Communicate and supervise youth in a positive and patient manner, being understanding of different youth development stages.
  • Participate in training, to gain information, build skills and ensure quality of the Sandy Club program
Experience:
  • Previous experience working with youth in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring is not required but will be prioritized and be considered for this position.
  • Familiarity with assisting with academics from kindergarten through high school level reading and math
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead youth in daily activities
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build relationships with youth of all ages
