Qualified candidates are required to have a bachelor's degree (education degree or related subject area), and possess or be working towards VCEA or Commonwealth of Virginia teaching certification. This position requires the candidate to teach Literature, which is a core curriculum area, and supervise a homeroom of students in grade 8. Candidates must demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, develop engaging, differentiated lessons with written plans, direct students in hands-on activities, and provide feedback through timely grading of submitted work and trimester report cards. St. Louis is located in Alexandria, VA near Mt. Vernon and Ft. Belvoir. It is a Christ-centered school community rooted in the teaching traditions of our Catholic faith. We serve over 500 students in grades Preschool-8th grade. Our mission is to empower our students to love, learn, and lead others to Christ.
