Position Summary We are seeking a responsible and caring individual to support our After School Program. In this role, you will walk a group of 14 students (ages 5-12) from school to the program building and provide supervision three days per week between 3:00-6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (with flexible scheduling available). You will help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment by overseeing and facilitating activities such as outdoor play, snack time, reading/homework support, and free play. Your primary responsibility is to ensure students are safe, cared for, and engaged in a variety of positive experiences. Duties/Expectations

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families and fellow staff members to ensure a welcoming, caring atmosphere
• Interact and have fun with students while creating an engaging environment
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with other staff
• Promote a strong sense of community by role modeling and encouraging respectful, responsible and safe behaviors
• Maintain accurate records and student's files in accordance with licensing requirements
• Provide daily snacks and assist with light cleaning tasks
• Maintain a high level of awareness to ensure student safety at all times
• Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and complete required documentation
• Participate in mandatory training as required by licensing (Intro to the Childcare Profession and Skills and Strategies for the Childcare Teacher Courses or demonstrate equivalent experience through college-level work) Qualifications
• Must be responsible and dependable
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• A genuine enjoyment of working with school-aged children is essential
• Prior experience or volunteer work with school-aged children preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• CPR certification, physical exam and background check required upon hire
