A Middle or High School Teacher teaches middle school students, usually in grades 6 - 12, in a public or private school. Teaches one subject, or a group of subjects, such as math and science; works with one class all year or teaches different classes of students throughout the day. May mentor students, coach a school team or advise a student club. May specialize in working with students learning English or students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Description
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families and fellow staff members to ensure a welcoming, caring atmosphere
- Interact and have fun with students while creating an engaging environment
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with other staff
- Promote a strong sense of community by role modeling and encouraging respectful, responsible and safe behaviors
- Maintain accurate records and student's files in accordance with licensing requirements
- Provide daily snacks and assist with light cleaning tasks
- Maintain a high level of awareness to ensure student safety at all times
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and complete required documentation
- Participate in mandatory training as required by licensing (Intro to the Childcare Profession and Skills and Strategies for the Childcare Teacher Courses or demonstrate equivalent experience through college-level work) Qualifications
- Must be responsible and dependable
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- A genuine enjoyment of working with school-aged children is essential
- Prior experience or volunteer work with school-aged children preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- CPR certification, physical exam and background check required upon hire
Pay:
$17.00- $19.
