We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Middle School Mathematics Teacher to inspire and engage students in grades 6 through 8. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive math instruction, foster a positive learning environment, and support students' academic growth. Your expertise will help students develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a love for mathematics. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape young minds and contribute to a vibrant educational community. Responsibilities Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that cover topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, and higher-level mathematics. Utilize innovative learning technology and instructional design techniques to enhance student understanding and participation. Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, standardized assessments, and project work; provide timely feedback to support continuous improvement. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful and productive learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and student support initiatives. Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, fostering their personal growth and academic success. Incorporate special education strategies when necessary to meet diverse learning needs; adapt lessons for students requiring additional support. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance; prepare reports for school administration as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, discrete math, molecular biology concepts, genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, cell biology, and research laboratory experience. Proven experience in classroom management and lesson planning within middle school settings. Excellent communication skills to effectively work with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Familiarity with learning technology tools and digital resources for instructional purposes. Ability to develop curriculum content that integrates scientific research principles with mathematical concepts. Experience in standardized testing preparation and tutoring strategies to support diverse learner needs. Demonstrated ability to mentor students academically and behaviorally while fostering a positive classroom climate.
