Job Description

Christ Child Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and collaborative Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our middle school team for the upcoming academic year. This full-time position is responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging, and rigorous ELA instruction to students in grades 6-8. Grade 8 Homeroom responsibilities (e.g. Mass planning, fundraising, and overseeing end-of-year activities) are included in this position, as determined by the principal. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive classroom culture rooted in faith and academic excellence, utilizing modern educational tools and assessment strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students.
Employment Responsibilities:
Individuals considered for this position will:
Instructional Leadership:
Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive ELA lessons aligned with state and archdiocesan standards for middle school grades 6-8.
Standards-Based Grading:
Implement and maintain a standards-based grading framework, focusing on student mastery of specific learning targets and providing actionable and timely feedback to support growth.
Technology Integration:
Leverage Google Classroom as the primary learning management system for assignments, resources, and student collaboration.
Data & Communication:
Utilize PowerSchool for daily attendance, tracking student evidence of learning, and maintaining clear, accurate communication with families regarding student progress.
Classroom Culture:
Establish a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment that reflects Christ Child Academy's mission and values.
Collaboration:
Participate actively in middle school team meetings, professional development, and school-wide community events.
Outreach:
Provide opportunities for students to participate in community contests and projects (such as the Scripp's Spelling Bee and local writing competitions).
Pay:
$44,530.86 - $55,628.56 per year
