We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic After School Program Leader to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating a vibrant after-school environment that blends athletic development, life skills, and creative enrichment. You will specifically lead physical activity modules grounded in the EMPOW3R Sports Performance framework—helping students build functional movement, resilience, mental toughness, and teamwork under pressure—while also keeping them engaged through structured play, STEAM projects, and leadership activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Inclusive Engagement:
Adapt athletic drills so campers/students of all skill levels feel motivated, safe, and empowered to participate.
Program Facilitation:
Plan and lead a variety of non-athletic activities, including homework support, cooperative group games, creative arts, and hands-on STEAM projects.
Positive Culture:
Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where every student feels valued and supported.
Behavior Management:
Utilize positive reinforcement and constructive conflict-resolution strategies to maintain a healthy group dynamic. Maintain safe supervision ratio and actively monitor students during transitions, snacks, outdoor play, and dismissal. Build positive relationships with parents/guardians, providing brief daily updates on student achievements and program highlights. Ensure all equipment and facility spaces are set up, cleaned, and properly stored after each session.
What we are looking for:
Experience:
1+ years of experience working with youth (ages 5-12) in sports coaching, summer camps, after-school programs, or physical education settings.
Athletic Background:
Familiarity with youth fitness principles, athletic conditioning, or sports performance training (experience with the Empow3r framework or similar youth performance models is a strong plus).
Skills:
High energy, strong public speaking/group management, patience, and a genuine passion for youth mentorship. Clear local/state background check and child abuse registry check.
