Job Description
Job Summary Corpus Christi Parish School (formerly Waukesha Catholic) is seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time middle school resource teacher to join our team and support students in grades 3-8, with an emphasis on middle school ELA. The ideal candidate will provide targeted support to students who require additional academic assistance and will work collaboratively with classroom teachers to identify areas of need, develop intervention plans, and implement strategies that help students build essential skills and improve academic performance. Responsibilities Analyze student data to identify strengths, areas of need, and appropriate instructional supports. Design and implement individualized or small-group intervention plans tailored to students' needs. Provide direct instruction using evidence-based intervention strategies and techniques. Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and adjust intervention plans as needed. Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention activities with classroom instruction and curriculum standards. Communicate regularly with teachers, administration, parents, and other stakeholders to provide updates on student progress and strategies for support. Maintain accurate records of student intervention data and progress reports. Participate in parent/student/teacher conferences. Stay informed about current research, best practices, and resources, particularly in reading and writing instruction, to continuously improve instructional methods. Participate as an active member of the Corpus Christi Learning Support Team. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university. Holds, or is eligible to receive, a valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction teaching license. Previous experience teaching middle school ELA preferred. Practicing Catholic preferred, with a commitment to Catholic education and the mission and values of Corpus Christi Parish School. Proficient in the use of technology for instructional and communication purposes (Google Workspace preferred). Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrates excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
