Summer Enrichment Program (STEAM) Teachers â€" 3 teachers as needed at Wirt County Middle School

CONTRACT

June 1, 2026

• June 30, 2026
• includes up to one 8-hour prep, up to four 8-hour STEAM programmatic days.

Total hours for each of these teacher positions shall not exceed 40 hours. Schedule shall be determined by building principal as determined by student need/enrollment and shall exclude June 19, 2026.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid WV Teaching Certification, preference given to individuals with endorsement or authorization for 5th-8th Grade Science, Math, Technology Integration, or Computer Science Instruction Hiring preference for teachers with experience teaching science, computer science, or coding at middle school level Hiring preference for teachers with familiarity with instructional technologies Experience preferred delivering effective summer school instruction Ability to analyze student data to determine needs and interests Ability to plan, implement and provide follow-up with STEAM content units

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To recruit and contact interested students Designing and implementing high-engagement, project-based STEAM activities for middle school students. To plan, implement, assess and maintain attendance performance data for STEAM program for middle school students. Utilize instructional techniques and methods that increase student learning Identify and select various instructional resources and methods to meet students' diverse needs. Collect, maintain, and submit data relevant to grant funding related to the STEAM program. Work collaboratively with the other summer program teachers and school administrators to ensure a positive student experience.

$30 per hour
