We're looking for an enthusiastic Gallery Assistant to join our small team. Pamela Walsh Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in downtown Palo Alto representing emerging, mid-career, and established artists. We work closely with artists, estates, collectors, and institutions, presenting a dynamic exhibition program that brings together contemporary artists and historically significant works. This is more than a front desk position. You'll help install exhibitions, support gallery events, work with artists and collectors, and learn the day-to-day operations of a professional contemporary art gallery. What You'll Do Provide excellent customer service to gallery visitors, artists, and clients. Help maintain a welcoming, organized gallery environment. Assist with exhibition installation and prepare the gallery for openings. Assist with artwork inventory, photography, artwork handling, and shipping. Update artwork, client records, and website content using our gallery management software. Support exhibitions, artist receptions, art fairs, and other special projects. Support marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, social media content, and exhibition promotions. Learn about the artists we represent and gradually assist with visitor and client inquiries.
