Position:
(Purpose of the Position): The Sculpture Shopkeeper monitors the Wood and Metalworking Sculpture Studios to ensure a safe working environment for students while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized shop space. They also work in the tool room to check out materials to students when needed.

Monitor student safety in Wood and Metalworking Studios Check in and out tools and equipment Organize and tidy equipment and spaces Provide light assistance and support to students Assist with tasks identified by the
Art Department Studio Technician Qualifications:
(Education/Experience/Skills) Shopkeepers must have taken the 3D Foundations course at St. Olaf before working as a Sculpture Shopkeeper. This position requires promptness, attention to detail, and safety consciousness. Knowledge and experience with woodworking and metalworking tools and processes
Physical and Environmental Factors:
This position requires crouching, stooping, pushing/pulling, lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs., operating hand tools, and operating equipment or machinery to perform the essential functions. It also requires rare exposure to loud noise, respiratory factors, chemicals, and vibrations. Protective equipment is required for some essential functions. Candidates must possess the ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation. This job description is for general information purposes.
