08/21/2026 Position Summary We are seeking to hire a student to work along side of our caretaker and mechanic. Jobs will vary throughout the 10 weeks based on need, space availability, and the like. Experience Cortland dives deep into the region's offerings Major Responsibilities Landscaping including ride on, push mower, and weed whacker. Assisting with stocking and cleaning dorms and historic buildings. Working with the caretaker on trail maintenance, building upgrades, including painting and staining. Work with mechanic as requested to assist on projects. Need the ability to work individually and in a team setting with direction. Functional and Supervisory Relationships Work primarily with the caretaker. Answers to the director. Required Qualifications Must be a current SUNY student. Experience with basic landscaping (mowing and weed whacking) and tool knowledge (hammer, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.). Physical ability to bend, lift up to 50 pounds, stoop and be on feet for long periods of time. A positive attitude is a must! Preferred Qualifications Ability to work individually or in team setting. A willingness to learn.
