Science Educator Do you love bringing the wonder of science and technology to kids and families through engaging, hands-on activities? Do you have a background in a STEM field and experience with teaching? If so, a position as a science educator at the Museum of Science & Technology (MOST) could be a great fit for you! The museum's science educator develops, updates, and presents interactive and captivating workshops and demonstrations at the museum and throughout the community. This includes working with school groups, field trips, and guests at the museum, and bringing our discovery sessions to off-site locations like schools, libraries, and community centers.
Work Hours:
This is a full-time position (35 hours per week), working Monday through Friday, plus 1-2 weekend shifts per month. Job Skills The successful science educator is well-versed in: The fundamentals of science, engineering and the rules of math and can integrate these principles into exhibits and outreach programs. Composing and presenting science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) topics to all age groups. Managing multiple projects with a complete understanding of ownership and follow through. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education in a STEM-related field and 1 year of experience in a teaching environment. ( Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.)
