Job Description

Morton Contemporary Gallery is seeking a Fall-Winter INTRN (2026). Internship will expose and introduce intern to the daily operations of a successful art gallery. Intern will help assist staff with day to day operations, website, art collections, research, clients, and events. The ideal applicant is a strong writer, background in retail, efficient, savvy with AI, high attention to detail, excellent research skills, and has a background in art history, studio art , marketing, and/or business. Additionally, we seek a candidate who is personable, sophisticated, hard working and reliable. We are prioritizing candidates who will receive college credit for this internship. We are a successful, fast paced gallery that hosts many art related events, and has two exhibition spaces. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Research and competence with AI
  • Art blogging
  • Writing art descriptions for website
  • Artwork database assistance
  • Artwork packaging and shipping assistance
  • Introducing clients to gallery and artistic collection
  • Assisting with monthly exhibition preparations
  • Administrative tasks and assisting with general gallery maintenance
  • Applicant must be proactive, hard-working, motivated, and articulate
  • Attention to detail, strong listening skills, and strong organizational skills are a must
  • Applicant must be able to work independently and manage long-term projects specifically designed for the internship program

From $10.00 per hour
