Job Description

Duties Include collecting and preserving city government, organizational, and personal documents with historic value pertaining to the City of Irving and its residents; processing documents and collections to make them accessible for research purposes for current internal and external customers and for future generations; overseeing the operations of the Ruth Paine House Museum and Jackie Townsell Bear Creek Heritage Center; serving as registrar for the Irving Archives and Museum; and working with staff on the development of exhibitions and programs related to historical content. A master's degree in public history or library science, preferably with archival concentration, and at least three years of archival experience required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Membership in the Academy of Certified Archivists is preferred. A résumé and cover letter must be submitted with application.
PAY GRADE GG22 / FULL PAY RANGE
