Summary:
The
ELEMENTARY MUSIC TEACHER
is responsible for the teaching of music education to students in grades K-8.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Teach general music to grades K-8 using the established curriculum, including music theory, composer study, and music appreciation. 2. Conduct and put on spring, winter and fall performances for various grade levels. 3. Engage students with creative lesson plans and instill a passion for music. 4. Play the piano, sing and have a basic knowledge of string and wind instruments 5.
Qualifications:
Candidates should hold a Bachelors Degree with emphasis in music education or music performance, or related field. Must have 3 Years classroom experience in an elementary setting.
