Music Lab Folsom is looking for a talented, experienced and reliable guitar instructor to join our team! Ability to teach bass and/or uke would be a bonus. Candidates should be personable with a warm, outgoing and fun personality and be able to relate well to students and parents. We are especially interested in someone who is available Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and evenings. We have 250+ students and 18+ instructors and are continuing to grow! This is a super fun and rewarding place to work. Our students and parents are amazing! We have showcases 3 times per year and have more than a dozen fun-filled summer camps.

Responsibilities:

• Teach structured music lessons to students of various ages and skill levels
• Create and implement lesson plans, assign homework
• Provide instruction in a variety of musical instruments and genres
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians

Requirements:

• At least 1 year experience instructing students
• Strong knowledge of music theory and playing technique
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching music and working with mostly young students (mostly ages 7-16
• Fun, cheerful, outgoing personality, people-person preferred Please note that this position is in person at our Folsom location.
