The position is part-time, three days per week. Applicants should be comfortable working with children from ages eight and above with ranging levels of experience and ability. Knowledge of Spanish is welcomed. Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of the music instructor include:
- Instructing students on piano/guitar/drum technique and music theory
- Assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and suggesting areas for improvement
- Fostering a positive and engaging learning environment to motivate students to practice and improve Qualifications The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Strong piano/guitar/ drum playing skills, including technical proficiency and musicality
- Well versed in basic piano techniques and music theory
- Patience, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles and paces
- Fluent sight-reading Work Environment This is a part-time position based in our Pomona office.
