This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners through the transformative power of music and creative arts. As a vital member of our inclusive education team, you will develop engaging guitar lessons tailored to individual abilities, fostering confidence, creativity, and a love for music in every student. Responsibilities Design and implement customized guitar lesson plans that accommodate children with various special needs, ensuring accessibility and engagement Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes confidence, participation, and enjoyment of music Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning styles, including visual, auditory, and kinesthetic approaches Track student progress regularly and adjust lesson plans accordingly to maximize growth and enjoyment in playing the guitar Requirements Proven experience working with children, especially those with special needs or in youth programs teaching environments Strong background in teaching music, instrumental performance (specifically guitar), and creative arts instruction Knowledge of curriculum development tailored for diverse learners with an emphasis on childhood development principles Experience managing classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, therapists, and fellow educators Join us in making a meaningful difference by empowering children with special needs through the joy of music!
