About Us Happy Sound Music is a growing music school in Selma, CA focused on creating a fun, structured, and inspiring environment for students of all ages. We primarily serve students ages 5-18 , with some adult learners as well. Our goal is to build confidence, creativity, and strong musical foundations in every student. Position Overview We are currently looking for passionate and reliable music instructors to join our team as independent contractors . We are hiring instructors in the following areas: Piano Guitar Voice (Vocal Coaching) This is a great opportunity for musicians who enjoy teaching and want flexible, consistent work in a supportive studio environment. Responsibilities Teach weekly private (and occasionally small group) lessons Work with students ages 5-18 (some adult students included) Create engaging, structured lesson plans based on student level and goals Track student progress and provide feedback Prepare students for recitals and performances Maintain a positive and professional classroom environment Requirements Prior experience teaching music lessons (required) Strong proficiency in piano, guitar, or voice Ability to work with children and teens in a patient, engaging way Reliable, punctual, and professional Strong communication skills with both students and parents Must be able to work in-person in Selma, CA Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching multiple age groups (kids, teens, adults) Music education background or equivalent experience Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Compensation Independent contractor (1099) position Competitive pay based on experience Consistent student scheduling available Schedule Flexible scheduling based on availability Afternoon, evening, and some weekend availability preferred Why Join Happy Sound Music?
