Teaching Full Job Description Job Overview :
ThePurplePiano is seeking an experienced, passionate, and reliable piano Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in both music and education, with the ability to provide children of all ages and skill levels with a holistic music education. ThePurplePiano values a mindful, student-centered approach to learning, that is fun and makes learning music accessible to all. Teaching other instruments (especially voice, ukulele, violin) is also a great plus.Job Type:

Lessons are taught in student homes in the towns of Louisville, Lafayette, Superior, Erie, Broomfield, and Boulder. We are hoping to expand into Longmont, so if you live near there or are able to have a specified travel day(s) to Longmont, that is preferable.Compensation:
$25/30 minute lessonSchedule:
Set your own hours. Majority of lessons do need to be scheduled during weekday after school hours (~3-8pm). Prefer 2+ days per week of availability.Start Date:
June 1 or beginning ofAugust Benefits:
7 weeks paid time off per year, 1 week paid sick time, pay for student cancellations, ThePurplePiano handles all marketing/invoicing.Qualifications/Responsibilities:
Experience teaching piano to students of varying ages and skill levels. Comfortability with and love for teaching young beginners. Ability to develop lesson plans tailored to the needs of each individual student. Take regular attendance and keep the online calendar updated. Desire to make learning music fun and accessible to all. Prepare students for 2 recitals per year. Provide regular and consistent weekly lessons. Have a reliable vehicle for traveling to student homes. Scheduling availability for at least 10 students during weekday after school hours.
