This energetic role involves delivering engaging trumpet lessons, fostering a love for music, and nurturing students' technical skills and creativity. As a key member of our teaching team, you will create a positive learning environment that encourages growth, confidence, and musical excellence. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about teaching, possesses strong classroom management skills, and has a background in both performance and educational techniques. Duties Design and implement comprehensive trumpet curriculum tailored to students' skill levels, from beginners to advanced players Conduct engaging individual lessons that focus on technique, tone development, music theory, and performance skills Develop innovative lesson plans that incorporate diverse musical styles and pedagogical approaches Experience Proven experience teaching trumpet or brass instruments at various levels Strong background in curriculum development for private music lessons Demonstrated ability to effectively engage students of different ages and backgrounds Familiarity with lesson planning, behavior management strategies, and childhood development principles Boulder Symphony Music Academy is a non-profit located in South Boulder with a mission of offering high quality music education, while simultaneously working towards music accessibility.
