General Job Description:
Elementary Art/Music Teacher The teacher is responsible for preparing lessons and delivering instruction to elementary aged students. They teach students fine art concepts. Art teachers are often responsible for preparing students to create and participate in various art events for the school, the community or at local competitions. They also monitor student progress in class.
POSITION SUMMARY
The art teacher will have duties consistent with all elementary teachers:
  • Use a differentiated standards-based curriculum that is evident to all stakeholders through posted objectives, submitted lesson plans, and student, parent, and observer-friendly language.
  • Create learning environments that are healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenging.
  • A safe learning environment includes but is not limited to developing nurturing relationships with students, differentiated lessons that cater to multiple skill levels, collaboration with family, and effective use of time.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the school and participate in opportunities to be a part of leadership teams including BLT, MTSS, RTI, and school-level accountability committees.
  • Teachers receive assignments from building-level administration personnel to fulfill the goals of the District.

Qualifications:
Teaching License/ Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent experience
Training and Experience:
Any combination of training and/or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties as described.
Job Types:
Full-time, Contract Pay:
$33,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
