Job Description

About Us Meta Music Education is a recording studio designed to get students playing the songs they love — fast. We skip textbook drills and teach by ear through immersive, project-driven lessons built around real songs, band play, and studio recording. Students develop musical intuition, improvisation, and songwriting skills that fuel creativity instead of rote repetition. Join a mission-driven team committed to intentional practice, real-world projects, and a warm, high-energy community where both students and teachers level up together. Now Hiring We are hiring 3-5 teachers to start immediately . This role is for musicians who have an advanced skill set in at least one primary instrument. Basic competency in other instruments, including music production, is considered a plus. You'll teach private lessons, various group lesson formats, lead small ensembles/bands, and help shape the studio's teaching standards. What you'll do Deliver engaging, flexible lessons tailored to each student's interests and learning style. Show up prepared, on time, and with enthusiasm. Teach "Music with a capital M" - helping students understand the language of music, not mimicry through rote memorization Lead impromptu jam sessions with other students and teachers in a highly collaborative environment Guide student learning through recording/production projects, not traditional method books. Send concise but detailed lesson notes after every session and keep accurate attendance and progress records. Communicate proactively and professionally — with parents, children, peers, and management — and be comfortable having direct conversations about progress, scheduling, and student needs. Maintain a tidy, welcoming studio space Who you are A confident communicator — you're not shy about talking with parents, students, colleagues, or management and you understand clear communication drives retention and results. An active musician with a passion for sharing the gift of music with others. Theatre background = huge plus. Actors and those with theatre backgrounds consistently do very well at
