The Special Interest Instructor plays a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality classes in their area of expertise for participants of all ages. This role allows you to make a direct impact in the community by creating positive learning experiences while representing the Champaign Park District with professionalism and enthusiasm. Summary of Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and lead instructional classes following approved curricula and schedules Develop and submit program outlines at least two weeks prior to class start Assist with class descriptions for promotional materials Maintain accurate attendance, program documentation, and incident/accident reports Communicate schedules, changes, and cancellations clearly and timely to participants Create and maintain a clean, organized, and safe instructional environment Purchase, maintain, and ensure safe use of program supplies and equipment Build positive relationships with participants, parents, staff, and the public Distribute and complete program and instructor evaluations as requested Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions Follow all safety, confidentiality, equal opportunity, and harassment prevention policies Perform other duties as assigned Why Work With Us?
