We are looking for an educator who believes in educating the whole child-academically, spiritually, socially, emotionally, and creatively-and who can inspire a lifelong appreciation for music in students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. The ideal candidate will foster a love of music while supporting the mission of Catholic education and helping students recognize and develop their God-given talents.
Responsibilities :
Plan and deliver engaging music instruction for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Teach foundational music concepts including rhythm, melody, harmony, music literacy, vocal performance, and music appreciation. Prepare students for school liturgies, prayer services, concerts, and other performances throughout the school year. Integrate Catholic values and faith traditions into music instruction and performances. Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and confidence. Collaborate with classroom teachers, administration, and parish staff to support the school's mission and community events. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field. Valid Indiana teaching license (or ability to obtain licensure). Strong knowledge of elementary and middle school general music instruction. Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. Experience directing choirs, ensembles, or student performances.
