SY26/27 Music Teacher Boston Renaissance Charter Public School - 2.9 Boston, MA Job Details Full-time 2 hours ago Qualifications Piano Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Job DescriptionResponsibilities include but are not limited to: Teach music and choral classes to grades K-6Implement a rigorous and balanced standards-based music curriculum including knowledge of vocal developmentEmploy pedagogical methods that motivate students to purse instrumental studyDifferentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learnersDemonstrate flexibility and compassion, while maintaining high expectations for student achievementDemonstrate strong classroom management skillsEmploy instructional methods that motivate students to continue to pursue study in the music communityCollaborate with school faculty to develop interdisciplinary curriculumOrganize and participate in school level music performancesContribute to departmental and school wide curriculum projects and other initiativesSteward the careful use of supplies, equipment, and teaching resourcesAny other duties as assigned by the supervisorAssist w/ Arrival and DismissalQualificationsMust hold a bachelors degree Must meet federal requirements and highly qualified status for Massachusetts charter school educatorsTwo or more years of classroom teaching experience in urban setting preferredMust be able to play pianoMust be proficient in teaching piano to students on different levelsMust be able to play piano in the different genres of music (i.e. classical, contemporary, choral, gospel, jazz, etc.)PreferredMasters degree in preferredGeneral Music certification K-6Motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written
