This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated educator to assume an established piano studio and be part of a vibrant nonprofitmunity music center serving the MetroWest Boston region. Schedule Two afternoon/evening teaching days per week Additional morning teaching opportunities available Start date: Late August 2026 Position Overview The Piano Instructor will inherit an existing studio of students and will be responsible for providing engaging, high-quality instruction to children, teens, and adults across a range of experience levels. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in piano pedagogy, foster meaningful student relationships, and contribute to CCM's weing and collaborative culture. Experience teaching multiple musical styles, including classical, folk, and contemporary traditions, is highly valued. Responsibilities Teach private piano lessons to students ranging from beginner through advanced levels. Design individualized lesson plans that support each student's musical and personal growth. Inspire students through engaging, student-centered instruction. Coach chamber groups, ensembles, or collaborative music experiences as appropriate. Participate in student recitals, faculty performances,munity programs, and outreach initiatives. Communicate regularly and professionally with students and families. Attend faculty meetings and contribute to the life of the Conservatory. Fulfill faculty responsibilities outlined in the CCM Faculty Handbook.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess: Demonstrated success teaching piano students of varying ages, abilities, and learning styles. A strong background in piano performance and pedagogy. Excellent interpersonal,anizational, andmunication skills. Amitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and inspiring learning environment. The ability to motivate students while maintaining high musical standards. Enthusiasm for collaborative,munity-based music education.
Preferred:
Master's degree in Music, Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy, or a related field. Four or more years of private studio teaching experience. Experience teaching a variety of musical genres and styles.
