This positionprises of twoponents and the ideal candidate will fulfill both: Teaching Private Piano Lessons The Noble and Greenough School Performing Arts Department offers a program called the Applied Music Program (AMP) w students can take on-campus private lessons during the academic day on wind, brass, string and percussion instruments, as well as voice, piano, guitar, electric bass, and jazz improvisation. Lessons take place every seven days as a part of the 7-day rotation during students' study halls/free periods/recess and students can choose between taking 30 minute lessons to 50-60 minute lessons. The Nobles AMP seeks a qualified piano teacher to join our team of teachers. This teacher should be able to teach the classical genre in addition to other styles such as pop, Broadway, and Jazz. Number of students can range from 2 to upwards of 10 students depending on sign-ups. Lessons will be taught on the aforementioned 7-day rotation, so availability from 8:30-3:00pm Monday through Friday is required. Depending on student availability lessons may be scheduled all in 1-2 days, but that may not always be possible. Teachers receive their schedule for the semester(s) at the end of August and the beginning of January so they can plan accordingly. For half hour lessons, teachers get paid $625 for the fall semester (9 lessons), and $815 for the spring semester (12 lessons). For full 50-60 minute lessons, teachers get paid $1,005 for the fall semester (9 lessons), and $1305 for the spring semester (12 lessons). 2. Collaborative Pianist for Choral Ensembles The Noble and Greenough School Performing Arts Department seeks a collaborative pianist who will join our choral ensemble rehearsals up to three weeks before our concerts and apany the groups during dress rehearsals and concerts. The relevant ensembles meet at the following times: Tuesdays and Fridays 9:35-10:40am Mondays and Thursdays 1:00-1:50pm Mondays 6:30-8:00pm The above times will not conflict with the piano lessons scheduled. Tentatively, concerts are scheduled for Thursday November 19, Tuesday May 25, and Thursday May 27. Dress rehearsals begin at 3pm on each concert day, but subject to change depending on repertoire needs. The candidate should be available starting at this time up until the concert (typically a 6:00pm or 6:30pm start). Meals are provided on concert day. The pay is $125 per rehearsal, and $300 per concert day (includes dress rehearsal).

Skills/Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in Music with an emphasis on piano and/or collaborative piano Experience apanying choral ensembles performing repertoire of various genres and styles At least 2-5 years of experience teaching middle and high school aged students Enthusiasm for working with students with a wide range of abilities and experiences Strong collaborator with students and ensemble teachers Strong and timelymunication skills Flexible schedule Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30-3:00pm for lessons, and some afternoons/evenings for the apanying portion of the position.
