Immediately Job Description Everett Crimson Tide Marching Band Percussion Instructor
Job Summary:
The Percussion Instructors shall plan and teach percussion rudiments to students interested in maintaining their skills on their percussion instrument over the course of the school year.
Essential Duties:
Recruit students to enroll in the Percussion Section of the Marching Band (group lessons, sectionals, or individual). Plan an individual curriculum for students enrolled in the Percussion Section of the Marching Band. Plan repertoire, routines, warmups, marching drill.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required) Ability to direct and teach the percussion section including snare, tenor, bass drum and cymbals. Ability to stay organized to plan events, copy music, distribute items, and recruit volunteers. Knowledge of percussion techniques and pedagogy, as well as modern band performance practices.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job The Percussion instructors have frequent contact with students and members of the percussion section.
