DESCRIPTION

Position provides classroom teaching in both Band and ESL curriculum

REQUIREMENTS

Appropriate Music Education Endorsement (JQ or JX) Appropriate

ESL K-12

Endorsement or willingness to obtain. Current Michigan Certification, secondary preferred Completed the MTTC test as pertains to endorsement

PREFERENCES

Previous experience in Music Education Preferred Bi-lingual Spanish & English Ability to work effectively with a diverse student and parent population Evidence of a strong work ethic and high energy level Provide ESL classes to ELL students in need following the district Alternate Language Program Ability to Delineate data for migrant students and assist with completion of Comprehensive Needs Assessment focusing on the seven areas of concern. Cooperate with the classroom teacher to aid in the instructional planning of individual identified students.
