Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate as required by MDE. Criminal history background check.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in playing an orchestral string instrument (violin, viola, cello, or bass). Ability to teach proper string technique to students of varying abilities Ability to arrange music to fit the various levels of students Ability to plan and implement lessons which engage and excite musicians of all ages to support the continued growth of the orchestra program. Ability to infuse technology into curriculum
Preferred:
Previous experience in a comparable district

Salary:
Commensurate with credentials and level of experience and in accordance with MPS salary schedule. Starting range $51,814.00-$75,437.00. Medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance coverage offered. Eligible for Michigan ORS retirement plan for public school employees. Paid time off includes ten (10) sick leave days, three (3) personal days, and two (2) professional improvement days. Apply Now
