Instructor, Music Forsyth Technical Community College - 4.1 Winston-Salem, NC Job Details Part-time 1 day ago Qualifications Teaching Full Job Description Forsyth Tech is looking for a dedicated part-time instructor to lead in-person Music Appreciation courses. These engaging classes will feature a blend of hands-on, face-to-face instruction complemented by online and asynchronous learning components, providing students with a dynamic and flexible educational experience. This position requires daytime, in-person instruction at partner high school locations within the Forsyth Technical Community College service area, including sites within Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. The selected candidate must have consistent weekday daytime availability and be able to travel to assigned high school campuses to deliver face-to-face instruction. Flexibility to teach at multiple locations based on program needs is expected
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Master's Degree or higher and at least 18 graduate level hours in Music or a Music related program of study. •
Note:
Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a US Dept of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC . Successful teaching experience Music Appreciation or Music History.
Preferred Qualifications Preferred:
Experience in asynchronous instructing.. Essential Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assume responsibility for teaching assignments as a designated by at the department chairperson and approved by the dean. Assume responsibility for maintaining all required College records including attendance and grade reports, roll books, etc. Make recommendations to Department Chair for supplies, equipment, and equipment repairs. Construct, administer, and grade examinations. Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all policies for the College. Model an understanding of and commitment to the comprehensive community college philosophy and mission.
