Summer Camp Music Specialist•North East Summer Camp North East is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing therapeutic recreation for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Our summer day camp offers a fun, inclusive, and engaging environment where campers can explore various activities, including music, arts, and social skill-building programs while developing confidence and friendships. We are seeking a
DEDICATED & RELIABLE
Music Specialist to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about music, adaptive education, and creating a fun, welcoming musical environment for individuals of all abilities.
What You'll Do:
Plan and lead 4-5 engaging, adaptive music sessions per day (each 25 minutes long) for groups of 8-10 campers. Organize a variety of musical activities, including singing, rhythm games, instrument exploration, and movement-based musical exercises, designed to be fun and accessible for all ability levels. Modify and adapt activities to accommodate campers with different physical, cognitive, and sensory needs. Foster creativity, self-expression, and teamwork through musical experiences. Ensure a safe, supportive, and positive environment where all campers can participate, enjoy, and grow. Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure smooth transitions between activities and provide additional camper support when needed.

Who We're Looking For:
Experience in music education, music therapy, performing arts, or a related field (formal training is a plus but not required). Ability to adapt and modify musical activities to meet individual camper needs. Creative, patient, and enthusiastic individuals who love working with children and young adults. Willingness to take direction, be flexible, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment.
