Job Description
If you are interested in growing with the premier private school for Twice Exceptional learners (please see our website at www.liwholechild.org) on Long Island, working with highly capable youth, grades 1-12, who also share several learning and social emotional challenges that we expertly support with clinical and individualized academic programming, please read on. The music teacher is responsible for all music and education-related elements within the lessons. The Instructor creates a dynamic lesson experience to ensure their students are challenged and inspired. The part time Instructor is responsible for creating a vibrant student lesson experience. Must have patience, creativity, flexibility, team-player attitude, and be willing to learn our unique model. Must be committed to improving the educational quality of life of our students, resilient, punctual, and responsible. Our management style is collaborative, supportive and team-oriented--we expect that from each of our staff as well. Special education experience a must. Our students need understanding and empathy but are highly able to achieve at or above grade level.
