Band Instructor Grades 5-12 Liberty - 3.6 Mounds, OK Job Details Full-time 6 hours ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Stakeholder relationship building Teaching instrumental performance Full Job Description Position Summary The Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing instruction that supports student learning and growth. This role creates a positive, inclusive classroom environment, collaborates with colleagues and families, and upholds school policies and academic standards. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs Assess student progress using formative and summative methods Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Provide timely feedback to students and families Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators Participate in professional development and school meetings Maintain accurate records (attendance, grades, documentation) Support students' social-emotional and behavioral development Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field Valid state teaching certification in Instrumental Music (or ability to obtain) Strong knowledge of instrumental pedagogy across a variety of instruments Effective classroom management, communication, and organizational skills Ability to build positive relationships with students and families Experience teaching band at multiple grade levels (elementary through high school) Experience with marching band, jazz band, or other ensembles Demonstrated success in growing and sustaining a band program Classroom teaching experience preferred Ability to build positive relationships with students and families Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered learning Preferred Skills & Attributes Experience with curriculum planning and assessment Classroom management expertise Comfort using educational technology Collaborative and reflective teaching approach
