Inspire young minds and foster a love of music in a vibrant K-8 educational setting near Philadelphia, PA! This contract position is perfect for a dynamic Music Teacher who thrives on empowering students through creative instruction and engaging performance experiences. You'll be guiding learners from kindergarten through eighth grade, providing vibrant music education across a diverse curriculum. Ideal candidates bring passion, adaptability, and an innovative approach to classroom teaching, creating lessons that resonate with students of all backgrounds and skill levels. This opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027, with consistent hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-3:30pm, totaling 35 hours weekly.
Desired qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania Music Teacher Certification for grades K-8 (minimum) Will consider out-of-state certifications or emergency credentials if accompanied by relevant, recent experience Strong foundation in general education and classroom management Previous experience teaching music in a school environment, preferably across a variety of grade levels Ability to design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with educational standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Key responsibilities: Plan, organize, and deliver dynamic music instruction for K-8 students Foster an inclusive, inspiring classroom environment that encourages participation and creativity Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and administration to support students' educational journey Participate in school functions, parent meetings, and performances as needed Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and tailored support Compensation for this role ranges from $30 to $45 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and degree level.
