•50.00 per hour Teach Music. Inspire Children. Make a Difference. Play Patrol Company is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Preschool Music Teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on music classes to children ages 2-5 at preschools and childcare centers throughout the Philadelphia region. Our teachers don't simply play music—they create memorable experiences through singing, movement, rhythm activities, instrument exploration, and interactive lessons that help children develop a lifelong love of music. This position is ideal for musicians who enjoy performing, teaching, and working with young children.

Compensation Teaching Pay:

$40.00

•50.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Training & Administrative Pay:

$20.00 per hour

Mileage Reimbursement:

$0.25 per mile between teaching locations Paid training Professional development opportunities Schedule This is a part-time position. Applicants MUST be available at least 3 weekday mornings between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Sample Weekly Schedule Each morning, you'll travel to a different partner location. Here's an example of a typical week:

•9:30 AM to 11:30

AM Tuesday:

Bala Cynwyd Preschool

•9:30 AM to 12:00

PM Wednesday:

Cherry Hill Preschool

•10:00 AM to 12:00

PM Thursday:

West Chester Preschool

•9:00 AM to 11:30

AM Friday:

Northeast Philly Preschool

REQUIRED
Qualifications:

Intermediate Guitar or Ukulele Skills (Required) Our curriculum is taught using live accompaniment. Applicants must be able to confidently play guitar or ukulele at an intermediate level while singing and leading a classroom of young children. This is an essential requirement of the position. Reliable Transportation & Travel (Required) Teachers travel directly to schools throughout our service area. Applicants must be comfortable driving throughout the Greater Philadelphia region , including: Philadelphia County Bucks County Montgomery County Chester County Delaware County Camden County, NJ Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance are required. Responsibilities Teach engaging preschool music classes using Play Patrol Company's curriculum Lead singing, movement, rhythm, instrument exploration, and musical games Play guitar or ukulele while teaching Create a fun, energetic, and positive classroom environment Manage classrooms of preschool-aged children Build positive relationships with teachers and school staff Arrive prepared and on time Transport teaching materials between locations Attend paid trainings and staff meetings Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching preschool or early childhood music Degree in Music Education, Music Performance, Early Childhood Education, or related field Experience leading groups of young children Strong singing voice Excellent classroom management Positive, energetic personality Professional appearance and communication skills Why Join Play Patrol Company?
