If you love working with young children and enjoy using music to inspire learning, movement, and joy, we would love to hear from you! About the Position We are looking for someone who can provide engaging weekly music classes for children ages 3-5. The ideal candidate will foster a love of music through singing, movement, rhythm activities, instruments, and age-appropriate musical experiences. We are also looking for someone who would enjoy helping our students prepare for seasonal performances and special school events throughout the year. Responsibilities Plan and teach fun, interactive music classes for preschool-aged children. Introduce children to rhythm, movement, singing, and basic musical concepts. Incorporate live music into lessons whenever possible. Create a positive, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment. Collaborate with teachers and administration to enhance classroom learning through music. Assist in planning and directing holiday programs, concerts, Christmas programs, and school sing-alongs. Encourage participation and confidence while making music enjoyable for every child. Qualifications Experience teaching music to young children is preferred. Degree or coursework in Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field is preferred but not required. Ability to play the piano or another musical instrument is strongly preferred and should be incorporated into lessons and student performances whenever appropriate. Ability to engage preschool children through movement, singing, rhythm activities, and hands-on musical experiences. Strong communication and organizational skills. Reliable, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with young children. Ability to obtain all required Pennsylvania clearances. Schedule Part-time Flexible daytime weekday hours.
