Marching Band Percussion Coach

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Marching Band Percussion Coach to inspire and develop talented percussionists within our marching band program. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive percussion curriculum tailored to different skill levels and age groups. This includes Pit and Battery. Lead rehearsals, ensuring students develop proper technique, timing, and coordination for marching percussion instruments Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate rhythm exercises, musical theory, and performance strategies Manage classroom dynamics by applying effective behavior management techniques and fostering a positive learning environment Coordinate with band directors to align percussion sections with overall marching show themes and choreography Provide constructive feedback to students during rehearsals and performances to promote continuous improvement Organize special workshops or tutoring sessions focused on specific percussion techniques or musical styles such as theater drumming or ballet-inspired movement Skills Proven experience in curriculum development and lesson planning for percussion or related musical disciplines Strong background in teaching, classroom management, and working with children or young adults in educational settings Excellent communication skills to collaborate with band staff, students, and parents effectively Join us as a Marching Band Percussion Coach and be part of an inspiring team dedicated to excellence in music education!
